It basically works to notify when a door sensor is tripped... But the notification sounds like 20 times in a row. I'm not exaggerating. There seems to be no way to just get a single tone or otherwise shorten it, rendering the app embarrassing to have on your phone in public.

After spending about 40 minutes trying to sync a door alarm we just gave up. Apparently because we have a 2G wifi connection and not a 2.4G it won't work. It's weird that I can successfully have numerous devices in my home on wifi, but this flimsy Koogeek door alarm needs something more. Amazon will be picking it back up. Listen to these reviews, people.
