Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PwChain (Offline Password Manager) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

A good tool and when it force close, well it doesn't want to load afterwards when I trying to access my again my password, I mean it won't load.

About this app

Password-Chain ("PwChain") is an Offline Password Manager that enables you to securely manage your passwords without the need to connect to the Internet. PwChain will protect your passwords using military-grade encryption standards.

Features::
• This is an Offline Password Manager - this app does not request your device for internet connection permission
• Database import/export support. You can backup and restore your encrypted database at either locally, or to another app via sharing (i.e. sending it to Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, and your email app)
• A built-in password generator for generating unique passwords

Security Design::
In a nutshell, your master-password is used along with a random data (salt) to derive a secret-key using PBKDF2. After authentication, your secret-key is temporarily stored in memory and acts as a symmetric-key for data encryption and decryption purposes. The app, by default, uses AES (Advanced Encrypted Standard) with a 256-bit key length.
