Great app for showing and counting shocks/rapid-accelerations. I use it on the bus to objectively tell me how bumpy it is. You can easily configure parameters like the severity of the shock (magnitude of acceleration) and the minimum-time-between shocks (called something like "no repeat distance").

Excellent apps, thanks. I recently experienced ANR swiping on the chart (any direction having any plotting variable enabled) , will hook up logcat and see if I can give more feedback. Also the "smoothing", is that a mean filter with time constant of around 0.2?

Good app has potential, but it keeps crashing as soon as I touch the graph screen :-(

About this app

Count accelerometer events with this app by shaking or rotating your device. The accelerometer sensor is continually monitored and when the detection level is crossed, the counter is increased by one.

The app will also work with the linear acceleration sensor if your device has one. Change between accelerometer and linear acceleration sensor in the settings.

• Detect the acceleration in either of the X,Y Z axis, the magnitude of the acceleration, or the angles about the device's Z axis or XY plane.

• Detect on rising or falling past the detection level.

• AC or DC coupling option.

• Adjust measurement speed to one of 12 frequencies between 0.5 Hz and 2 kHz.

• Reduce double counts with optional no-count wait after detection.

• Graph to show accelerometer input in Cartesian and/or spherical coordinates.

• Counts indicated on graph and with optional 'click' sound.

Accelerometer sensors will vary in sampling speed, resolution and accuracy from one device to the next. For indication only.
