Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Keesing AuthentiScan™ App on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

AuthentiScan lets you check ID documents with your Android device anytime and anywhere.

The most important check AuthentiScan performs is that of the machine readable zone(MRZ). The MRZ check intercepts more than 80% of the forgeries out there.

After you have received your login details and installed the app on your Android device, you can start checking ID documents right away. Just take a picture of the ID document and within seconds you will see if you are dealing with a real or fake one.

Fast authentication and helpdesk
Depending on the type of document you have, take a picture of either the data page (passport) or the front and back of an ID card or driving license. The app will verify the authenticity of the document and show you the outcome in a few seconds. If the ID document is authentic you will see a green tick, if it is not, it will show a red cross. If AuthentiScan is in doubt the system automatically connects to the Keesing Helpdesk to have our ID document experts check the document for you.

Audit trail
The results, including the pictures of the ID document, will be stored locally on your device.
Data will only be stored there to prevent the pictures from being added to your photo gallery. AuthentiScan can also create a PDF report of every checked ID document providing you with an audit trail. These reports are easily shared with colleagues and other departments.
