This app is quite old now but really good none the less, does exactly what I want in that it makes the screen bright when on charge and resumes dimmer setting when taken off! Works with Android 8.1

Well thought out and easy to use. It works perfectly in the home, but not in the car. In the car it keeps the brightness that I set (100%), but the screen times-out. I suspect that's a problem with my phone - Galaxy S Captivate on Gingerbread.

If you have Llama (the profile manager) installed, this will not find any use. Reducing to one star because the author did not find it worth mentioning that the app is ad supported if it's the case!

...doesn't seem to start automatically on phone reboot. Need to open app manually and click Save. Galaxy S3 ICS (not Jelly Bean) VZW

I use my phone as a GPS and music player in my car, and the fact of the screen dimming out and locking was a pain in the neck because from time to time I wanted to change the song on something like that. Another thing that this App solved was the brightness "profile" I was looking for, I usually have my brightness set to minimum to save battery, but in the car (or while charging) I always set it to maximum. Now I dont have to keep setting the phone, I just use it and "Full Brightness When Plugged I" does all the hard work.

About this app

Want your phone to go to full brightness automatically when plugged in? Try this.

This is an application that changes the screen brightness to a user defined setting on plugging in the charger, and to a different setting on unplugging the charger.

If that weren't enough, it also has an option for keeping the screen on (it won't timeout) when plugged in.

The configuration screen of this app does show a small ad, but no where else!!!

New features

Version 2.0 Changes:
Added the option to keep the screen on (it won't timeout) when plugged in. Also added a optional notification for that.
Also added an simple standard ad on the settings screen.

Version 1.1 Changes:
Addition of a activate button. (so that if you want to disable it you don't have to uninstall it).
Changed the brightness from a scale of 0-255 to 30-255. (this fixes a problem on devices that couldn't display below 30)
Moved save/cancel buttons to top of settings window.
