Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing iWATR on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Crashes when I press Get started. Tried turning of my GPS (as recommended by user) but didn't work for me. So never got going :-(

The iWATR® app assists the public, developers, planners, private and public agencies-anyone developing or redeveloping land, with implementable mitigation concepts to improve water quality. iWATR® integrates national data sources with the water quality experts at Michael Baker International to analyze a watershed, provide information on the health of its water, integrate treatment options, and provide design concepts.
iWATR®:
- Delineates your watershed based on United States Geological Survey (USGS) data.
- Identifies U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-referenced pollutants in receiving waters.
- Recommends adequate natural treatment systems, or Best Management Practices (BMPs) for implementation by public or private entities, based on selected geographic location, land use type, and acreage using national soils data and rainfall data.
- Provides preliminary design and estimated construction and operation and maintenance (O&M) costs for the recommended treatment options.
