all good. needed to install as old version did but work on new Android. this works fine. setup easy (basically just 3 things - phone folder for source of photos to upload, NAS folder to upload to, and when). now it uploads photos and videos from my phone to my NAS when I get home (and attach to my WiFi). no reliance on pay cloud storage space or decreasing resolution of content to save space. Tons of space on my NAS.

About this app

PC Photo Upload allows you quickly and easily upload your photos and videos to your home computer or NAS. It does not require ANY software to be installed on your home computer. For users of Android version 7 or lower the upload will happen automatically, as soon as you connect to your home wifi.

NB - USERS OF ANDROID v8 OR HIGHER - newer releases of Android now require apps to have additional permissions in order to gain access to wifi connection. Specifically, please can you ensure that the app has Location permissions, and that you have Location Services enabled on your phone. With later Android releases It may also be the case that the app is no longer notified of changes to wifi status - i.e. the app will not be informed when you re-connect to your home wifi. In this case you will need to trigger an upload using either the "Upload New" menu item in the app, or by tapping on the app widget on your homescreen (for paid users only).

Features:
- Photos (and optionally videos) are uploaded automatically - no user intervention is required
- No additional software needs to be installed on your home computer
- Can upload to any Windows computer, Network Attached Storage device or other device with SMB file
system support
- Uploaded photos/videos can be organised automatically into folders for each day or month
- Automatic uploads can be controlled to preserve battery life - e.g. only uploading when your phone is charging, or only uploading when explicitly requested by the user
- Upload any selected files (not restricted to photos/videos) from any folder on your device - PAID VERSION ONLY
- "Upload Now" widget for your homescreen, to request immediate upload of new photos/videos if you are taking them while you are at home
- Multiple photo folders supported (e.g. if you have some photos stored on your internal phone storage and others on an SD card) - PAID VERSION ONLY
- Activity log of file upload activity - PAID VERSION ONLY
- Multiple home wifi connections supported (e.g. for homes with more than one access point) - PAID VERSION ONLY.

The app automatically finds your photo folder location by detecting where the last photo taken was stored. So rather than having to manually locate your photo folders, you can simply go to Settings...Photo Folder Locations shortly after a photo has been taken and the app will find where that photos was stored and allow you to add that folder.

The app can save photos sent/received via other apps - e.g if you want to save WhatsApp photos, open Settings...Photo Folder Locations immediately after you send or receive a photo via WhatsApp and you will be offered the chance to add that folder as a Photo Folder Location.

The free version of the app has the following limitations:
- Only 3 photos or videos may be uploaded per day
- Only 1 home wifi connection can be defined
- Only 1 source photo folder can be defined
- "Upload Selected" option is not available
- Activity Log screen is not available.

To remove these limitations you can purchase the PC Photo Upload 2 Unlocker app from the Google Play Store:
