This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing FLA Connect on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

FLA-Connect aims to provide workers with a multiple entry point system (various pathways) for a two-way communication including information sharing, feedback loop and raising concerns and complaints directly to the FLA. It is conceptualized in a way to make it accessible to people of different ages, gender, culture, levels of education, and/or with specific needs. It is intended to provide workers with an opportunity to provide their ongoing feedback on the working conditions at their workplace.

FLA Connect is designed to receive complaints and feedback around the issues identified in FLA Workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Benchmarks Document in Agriculture Sector.

It is to be noted that FLA-Connect does not replace the existing communications, worker feedback or grievance mechanisms that companies and their suppliers already have in place. Workers are encouraged to use those systems first. FLA Connect is developed as a safety-net where workers can use it in instances, where their issues have been not responded to, they have exhausted all means available to them through their employers and other supply chain actors, or feel insecure about using the existing channels and fear retaliation.
