About this app

The Open Space Mobile Application is developed to provide the public with information regarding open spaces and the nearest critical facilities so that they can promptly use it during an emergency. The app contains location data of all identified open spaces in urban and rural municipalities of Province 3, 4 and 5. The mobile app users can navigate to each of these open spaces from their locations at the push of a button in the app. The app works both online and offline and can provide multiple routes from user locations to the nearest open space during an emergency. Besides, the mobile app also contains features such as reporting encroachment of open spaces (if any) with a photo or a text and resource publications relevant to open spaces.
