This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Informer - Phone locator on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

Trace your phone device from the Informer webpage! Go to either www.tracemydroid.com or www.informer.no and register an account to start tracing your all of your droids!

With Informer you can easily get the whereabouts of your dear Android phone(s):

★ By making it ring through SMS commands
★ By getting the latitude and longitude with address through SMS commands
★ By viewing the trace log on the Informer webpage
★ By viewing battery status on the Inforrmer webpage
★ On a Google map based on the last known location reported by the phone
★ When you've lost it
★ When someone has stolen it
★ When you have misplaced it beneath a pillow or similar...

Or if you would like to know where your children are, just send a command to their phone and it will reply back!
(Informer - Phone Locator must be installed on their device as well!)

Quick user manual:
Upon entering the app, you will only see hardware and software specifications for your phone.
But if you press VOL UP 3 times you'll enter a secret settings menu where you can configure how the application should react on incoming SMS.

How to use the SMS part:
Just be sure to send an SMS from the number you saved together with the text you also saved in the secret settings menu (or just enable Frenzy mode to allow all phone numbers to send sms commands to the device).
Upon receiving an SMS from the specific number with the specific text, the app will secretly reply the SMS with latitude and longitude information together with the address if it can find it.

You can also configure the incoming text value which make the phone play an included soundfile.
This can be neat to have if you know you've misplaced your phone ;)

If you are having problems with application not responding the received SMS:
It seems like the developers of other SMS apps have given their app the highest priority.
If you have such apps installed, be sure to uninstall the app and then reinstall it AFTER installing Informer.
