Should be customizable. I can't add new or different grains. One major problem, I can't remove locations once I've added them. I thought I should have a location for each bin yard, but now see it would be simpler to have only one location as long as all bins have unique numbers. I have also seen a few crashes. I'm not sure if I am willing to spend the hours necessary to input all my data. I have done it with other apps and been disappointed. Better than other apps I've tried, but may stick with spreadsheet

As previous comments stated , works well however need more options for crops ( navy beans etc) and also deleting locations , then I'd say for a free app it'd be a five star

Good idea, but not finished, need much more improvements, I need simple app to manage my bins, not load's, not fields

About this app

The Grain Storage Manager App (GSM) is a free tool developed for grain farmers that allows them to manage the storage of their crops from the field to the bin and then to delivery or sale. The GSM App lets the user easily create virtual bins, set their capacity, location and crop and then track the crop loaded in or loaded out of that bin throughout the year. The graphical interface shows the current usage (percentage of capacity), total bushels housed and each transaction recorded for loads in and out of the bin.

The GSM App is the best way to track grain during harvest and throughout the year. The phone app makes it easy and convenient to keep track of loads into your bins or loads into the local elevator. All the data is stored in the cloud and is immediately available. No more keeping track of scale tickets or wondering how much grain you hauled to town. Easily know when it is time to move augers and know which bins have room for more grain.

GSM has features such as calculating shrinkage, bin capacity and setting reminders to check bins. The user can easily generate an Excel spreadsheet showing each of the bins data. The spreadsheet can be emailed to the account holder or shared with his banker or landlord.

The GSM App is password protected and the data entered is securely and privately stored per account. Each account requires an email as the username which is then verified before the account can be established. Accounts can be shared by family farm operations by using the unique user name feature which creates each transaction using that users name.
