About this app

TripStats helps compile your trip data so you can-
- Get rid of bottlenecks and improve your daily commute by identifying how long you stop at lights in your route
- Manage your travel time by identifying trip duration
- Determine the best route by surveying local traffic data
- Track mileage and fuel consumption with our fuel consumption and cost tool

Features:
- Estimate the trip fuel price (After the mileage and the price is saved in the settings)
- Shows traffic in your direction of travel (If enabled in settings)
- Displays Trip time, Trip Distance, Average speed, Current speed in real time, Stop Times and Trip Cost
- Provides a trip summary dialog at the end of every trip
- Invoke Google maps for further directions from current location by touching the moving car icon
- Easy one touch Map modes for Full route View or Zoom View and Direction of travel View or North Map View.

If the app does not display maps or shows “Waiting for GPS Accuracy”,
- Check if Google maps is running and is showing current location without a highlighted large circle
- Restart the phone if the location accuracy does not improve
- Make sure Android location setting is in high accuracy mode


App Usage:
- Tap START button at the beginning of trip. Tap END button when trip is complete.
- Trip distance is displayed in Miles or Kilometers by user’s location. It can be changed by enabling/disabling the "Units in Miles" option in the settings
- When "Screen Always on" setting is disabled, the display dims after 30 seconds to conserve power. Touch the map to bring the display back on
- The trip mileage and fuel cost of trip is included in the Trip Report. This feature is shown only in portrait mode
- To get accurate fuel stats, select "Change Car Mileage" from the settings menu and enter your car s mileage and fuel cost in your currency (This dialog will switch from KM/Liter to Miles/Gallon appropriately when Unit in Miles is option is enabled)
- The trip statistics will resume when app comes back to foreground from other function. An approximate straight line distance will be calculated when app is in background
- The stop markers are drawn only when stop time is more than 20 sec
- Only the previous stop time will be displayed on the map. To see all stop times on the map, enable setting "Show all stop times"
- If stop time is more than 20 min (i.e. if user forgets to end the trip), the trip will be ended automatically to conserve power
- The trip distance, speed and other statistics are calculated from the mobile GPS location data. The accuracy of the data is dependent on the GPS reading and can vary based on the location
- Apps that use location and map data have high battery consumption rates. StopStats has an "EnergySaver Mode" to efficiently manage power consumption


Caution:
Please focus on the driving. The app will run in the background without user interaction and provide results at the end of trip
