This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Pest Detector on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Got opening screen without any functionality. Numbers 1, 2 and 3 across the top, but no way I'd taking a picture or accessing photos. I have a Samsung S8+. I wish I could upload an image.

About this app

Pest detector is a very handy application for farmers, agronomists, gardeners, horticulturists and others interested in agricultural crop pests and agriculture in general.

The application utilizes a custom machine learning model to recognize Aphids, Army Worms, Larger Grain Borer, Stem Borer and Stem Weevils.

How does it work? The only thing you need is a Smart phone with a built-in camera. So you simply fire up the application, then point the camera on the location of the crop pest and once the pest is identified to a confidence level of over 97%, you swipe to the next step which gives you a background on the pest and eventually to the last step which gives you information on how to control the detected pest.
