Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ScioTy on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

When one wishes to have a bar code scanned into the web page.Simply sign in to ScioTy™ and click on the Scan button.The app will validate the command is from a valid user, and then search for a bar-code to scan. On completing the scan.It will send the decoded bar code back to the web server function. This may then be used to look up a product for pricing,Tagging, or tracking.App is completely free. Works in conjunction with the Web application. Web application will charge 1c per scan. First 250 scans are free!
