About this app

HUGO provides a simple way for New Zealand
commercial aviation operators to track their health and safety incidents. Workers can report both notifiable and non-notifiable events to the Operator they are working for and these can then be submitted to CAA as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. All reports can include GPS location data and photos.
How it works:
A Certificated Operator signs up with the App provider and creates their profile. Each is given their own portal where they authorise their workers to report into their records. Each Worker downloads the app and ‘signs
in’ to the Operators records. Operators can view their own incidents, near misses, good practice reports and suggestions. The Operator can also see industry (de-identified) data to show how they are performing against their sector and the industry overall. Any events that are Notifiable can be submitted by the Operator direct to CAA. More features will be added as HUGO gains popularity. CAA can only see anonymous data, to help it identify how to improve safety across the aviation sector.
