This used to be a pretty good camera app, installed as standard on my Nokia 7.1. However, the app has clearly been updated at some point during early September 2020, and now no longer records audio when I take a video. The developer really needs to fix this ASAP, otherwise this will be the last Nokia device that I ever buy... :-( Update: Have just ordered a Pixel 4a. This crappy camera app has just cost HMD my business.

HMD nokia 7.1doesn't allow to install Google cam. APK updates Android 10 for nokia to revise camera is useless article instead HMD to push auto update or allow user to install goggle LLC cam. Very much dissatisfaction to use nokia handset with HMD camera. Did any one has suggestions to install best camera for nokia 7.1.

The September camera update has completely ruined the overall quality of the Nokia 6.1. Today while using the camera for the first time after it updated, the camera app crashed. The screen on my device went black and the phone was completely unresponsive for almost 2 minutes. I couldn't restart it and lost complete control and use of the device. This is completely unacceptable. I like the phone, but I went from a working camera this morning, to a completely crashed device tonight. An app can stop working and even close, but no single component should be able to take the phone completely down. Especially the camera. If it happens again, I'll have to strongly consider even keeping this phone as a back up device.

Having experienced multiple different camera apps, as well as being an actual photographer, I must say that this has the best UI of them all. It looks great and has many features! I only have a few issues/suggestions: 1) Often, when I try to take a picture, it just doesn't. I then have to close and reopen the camera to make it work. 2) The slow motion is just not that slow! It could be better. 3) I'd love to see the addition of pausing recording like many other Android phones support. Thanks you! -A Nokia Fan --Dracheneks.

Mobile - Nokia 6.1 - Only two weeks old. App version - 90.9.1125.10 Every time I take a photo, I am greeted with the 'Processing' notice, I have deleted the cache and data on the app and it worked flawlessly. The whole point of having a smartphone with a camera is not only to take calls, texts & emails, but to also take photos and videos. Can someone at HMD Global / Nokia Mobile please sort this out, I don't want to resort to using a third party camera app. I have noticed that there are many people in the Nokia Help forums facing the same issue and not once has there been a reply from HMD Global about the current state of the app.
