About this app

Lock The Screen is for those who want to use their touch screen to lock their phone rather than using a physical button (e.g. the power button). You may like Lock The Screen if you

- Only want the power button to switch off the screen but not instantly locks.

- Want to preserve the life of the power button.

- Simply want to use the touch screen rather than a physical button.

How to use:

- On 1st launch (touch the app icon), Lock The Screen requests permission to "Lock the screen". If permission is granted, screen will be locked.

- Once permission is granted, screen can be locked simply by launching Lock The Screen again. If you place a shortcut to the home screen, the Lock The Screen icon effectively becomes a screen lock switch.

- Lock The Screen uses existing lock screen settings (using pin, pattern, etc). The app simply lock the screen. User can unlock the phone through their chosen method.

- And that's it. Lock The Screen has no settings, no ads, in fact there isn't even a user interface!

Permissions:

This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

The only permission required by Lock The Screen is "Lock the screen" (Under Device Administrator permission).

Uninstall:

- In case you change your mind or no longer required Lock The Screen, on some phone there is an extra step before the app can be uninstalled normally. The "Lock the screen" permission is in the Admin API which needs to be disabled before uninstall.

- This can be found under "Settings - General - Security - Phone administrators".

- Disable permission for this app ("Lock The Screen") then the app can be uninstalled as usual.
