About this app

Calculate Prayer and Fast Time for a specific date range based on the jurisprudence of Sayed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah (ra)

- It is preferable to wait a few minutes as a precaution after the timings of the dawn and sunset prayers.

- As for Imsak (the moment of abstaining from eating and drinking), it is preferred to be ten minutes before dawn, while it is a recommended precaution to wait for the disappearance of the eastern redness before Iftar (the moment of breaking the fast).

Dawn: It is when the sun reaches 18° below the horizon to the east. The dawn stands for the true dawn that occurs upon the horizontal appearance of the whiteness in the horizon after being a vertical light.

Sunrise: It is the appearance of the first sunray above the horizon.

Sunset: It is the disappearance of the disc of the sun behind the horizon.

Al-Isha’ (evening): It is when the sun reaches 18° below the horizon to the west

Midnight: It is the mid-time between sunset and dawn

The disappearance of the eastern redness: It is estimated to be after the disappearance of the disc of the sun by about 13 minutes.
