This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Battery Logger on PC Windows and Mac.

Knowing what updated and thus why the drain rate changed will no doubt be a valuable diagnostic. Be able to see that the drain rate remains consistent over a period of time provides an extra confidence that things aren't getting slowly worse for any reason. As important as knowing what changed between changes in drain rate is what didn't change, potentially exonerating many apps which would otherwise be a source of concern.
