Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Corona Emitter Editor Lite on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

This is an editor and viewer for the emitter system used by the Corona SDK.

The App is intended for use on tablet devices and allows you to load up any of the included sample emitters bundled with the SDK and modify them to suit your purposes.

Due to file access limitations on mobile devices you can only use the sample particles bundled with Corona at this time. I will endeavor to add to those if there is a demand for them.

You can have up to 6 emitters on the screen at a time along with a background image, which is scaleable, to help you design an emitter to match your placement.

When you modify an existing or saved emitter the app will assign a random name which can be changed by tapping on it.

Your creations can be saved and the output can be emailed to yourself (or anyone else you want to confuse the hell out of) and includes the parameters in Json format or as an "options" & template code snippet that can be pasted into a (blank) project.
