Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing InstantRename (Beta) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

InstantRename permit the renaming of JPG files.

This renaming is based on pattern defined in setting

this pattern can be composed by :

- year/month/day when photo was shooted
- Country/town/street where photo was shooted (if location was enabled when photo was shooted)
- calendar if there is an event in calendar when photo was shooted

example :
town : can be renamed by
calendar : can be renamed by
...

this renaming can be also subdivided with subfolder (when pattern is in Red)

can be renamed by

if file have not enough information for renaming, (no location available for example ) application do nothing.

for selection of input folder, it show only folder with photos (JPG)
for selection of output folder, it show all folder

only result with a new name is different of origin name

in list of result there is 5 colors (white, green, red, yellow, blue) :
white : there is no photo with this name and this photo have no other name in output [sub]folder
red : new name already exist but not with this photo
blue : new name already exist with this picture and has also other name in destination [sub]folder
yellow : this picture already exist in destination [sub]folder but not with this name
green : this name already exist with this picture in [sub]folder
