Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ComboKey Keyboard on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

Without the option to use it as a system keyboard, I will stick to gkos, although this has bugs and seems unfinished.

About this app

Type clear and large text on just a small number of big easy-to-reach keys. Sounds impossible? If you are not comfortable with new ways of doing things, don't try this at home! A bit to learn but rewarding. This keyboard does to mobile typing what E-Cat does to energy production!

Several languages are supported (including Hindi/Sanskrit!). With this astonishing optimized chorded keyboard stand-alone app, you can switch quickly between two selected languages, send the text as SMS, search the web, translate the text, maintain a shopping list, or just quickly tiptype a word, licence plate or any number to keep it safe until you store it etc. - In most cases, this keyboard can be used with and without spectacles, with one or to hands.

The purpose of this app is mainly to demonstrate the typing method but you may find it useful too. It cannot be used as the system keyboard, but you can use the Plus version of the app for that if you like. If you use web search, translation or SMS, please use the Android back key to return to ComboKey each time, not leaving the app running in the backgound.

In India, the ComboKey app may also be referred to by the name Varnam or Varna.
