Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Kartuli Speech Recognizer on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

The Batumi App Devs http://batumi.github.io are teaming up with open source field linguists from LingSync.org to build a speech recognizer for Kartuli speakers.

You can use this app to train your Android to recognize your speech. You will need to read a few sentences and then connect to WiFi to train your own voice model. We are hoping to have better recognition than 10% but given how different Kartuli is from other languages where speech recognition started (for example English) we don't know yet how useful this app will be. You are welcome to try it, it is mostly experimental and research software and as such we can't guarantee anything useful.
