Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Magick Pot on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

About this app

Never be stuck without your passwords again!

Magick Pot is totally offline.

- no database
- no file storage
- no cloud storage
- absolutely no internet connection!

All you need to remember are:

1. your username
2. the scope that can be the web site URL or the service name (whatever you find it easy to associate with that account)
3. a secret phrase - anything that is easy for you to remember!

While username and scope must vary from service to service (eg. GMail, Twitter, etc.), the secret phrase can always be the same.

Using these three parameters Magick Pot will prepare a password:

- unique
- complex and safe
- that meets all validation standards (uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters)

A practical example:

1. Username : pinco.pallo
2. Scope : gmail.com
3. Secret Phrase : amoremio76 <-- it's trivial but it's on pourpose ;-)

Magick Pot will generate the complex password: lw98iKmF.1 easy, safe and comfortable, right?

The generated password will NEVER be saved on any type of file that is file or cloud.

- do not trust my words! check yourself the permissions required by this app and you will see that it does not require any!

**WARNING! To recreate the same password for a given account you must make sure you don't forget the original values ​​you used (points 1-2-3)**
**If you enter different values, Magick Pot will produce a different password! (the difference between upper and lower case is also important)**

Using Magick Pot does not stop you from managing your passwords using a secure 'wallet' and in fact this is encouraged.

# How does Magick Pot work?

a. The text composed by (Username + Purpose) is encrypted using the secret Phrase.
b. The result of this encryption is used to feed a deterministic random number generator (let's call it RNG).
c. The password is prepared using the numbers generated by this RNG.

All these calculations are done on the fly every time you request it, this is why Magick Pot does not need any archive.
