The best file explorer overall, bar none. Drag n drop is awesome. I find myself using the built in music player a lot! The only thing I don't like is the limited support when, it comes to managing archives. For that one reason I still keep RAR on my phone. If the dev adds better support in that area I will uninstall RAR and forever use this one. I also think the built in text editor is very useful. I always download this on friends' phones when I need to help them because IT JUST WORKS!

And Total Commander said “Let There Be Light!” For me, working on any computer without an orthodox file manager is like trying to drive blindfolded in the dark so when I started using Androids I naturally chose Total Commander, having used it on MSDOS and then Windows machines since the early 90s. Thank you Christian Ghisler and everyone else who have helped make Total Commander the best and most capable orthodox file manager in the universe.

What can I say, Awesome! 😃👍 All those complaining about not been able to perform file/folder actions, long press & hold on the file or folder location to access the context menu options! Also add optional extra commands to your toolbar menu's yourselves!! As we'll as the extra plugins! It does EVERYTHING!

Best file manager overall. All features are there. I mostly use the windows shares and the ftp plugins with no issue. Interface is ugly but it works 100%. Could improve visually.

This is what Windows file manager should have had 20 years ago. I've been using it since the late '90s. It is an absolutely extraordinary piece of engineering. I cannot recommend it highly enough if you do anything at all with files. In a word get it get it get it.

About the new permission "SuperUser":
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander supports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.
