Malak-e Mate application is designed for GPS GSM watch for kids, Mate series. Parents need to download this application in order to manage, setup and locate the watches. The app consist of a map that displays the location and address of the kids wearing Malak-e mate. Location can be programmed to update periodically or upon request. The platform uses 3 different location technologies: GPS, Wifi, LBS. Wifi location is used when watches are indoor based on google wifi database. Parents can setup the time and date based on the appropriate time zones. Contacts white-list consists of the phone numbers that are allowed to voice call the watch and to be called by the watch, all unlisted numbers are blocked. Reminders are set in 3 different ways (once, daily or customs) helping to remind the kids of important commitments. Monitoring feature helps parents verify that their kids are ok in case they were not attending the calls. The platform supports Safety Areas, parents can specify desired locations on the map, specify the diameter of the circle and the option to get notified whenever the kids enters or leaves the area, or both. Since the watch has a pedometer, the health and steps option encourages kids to become active and move more during the day, setting for them daily targets. All this is displayed on the app in order to allow the parents to view the performance of their kids.
SOS numbers are set in order to instruct the watch to call them whenever the kid presses SOS on his watch. A voice call will be initiated, and the kid will be connected with his emergency contact number. Since it is very important not to distract the kid or allow him to get distracted by the watch during school hours, parents can setup different time slots in the Quiet time. This will disable all functions on the watch, except the time and SOS.
