After I connected i realized I couldn't use cable but it did connect by Wi-Fi. The first time I transferred from SAMSUNG A71 I didn't get my call history but everything else like apps came over to the new Asus Zenfone 9. I tried a second attempt later to transfer just the text messages, contacts and call history and it copied perfectly. It just took 30 to 45 minutes. But I have a lot of data. After reading bad reviews I was quite pleasantly surprised with the functionality

The WiFi on my old phone stopped working, which is the reason I purchased a new phone. However, I can't use this app to transfer my data because it only utilizes a WiFi connection.

The first pairing option is the automatic way, second option is to use the qr code, and finally there's "enter the WiFi details manually" which should have been the first option. All of them have a high chance of failing to pair. I eventually got it to pair and then the data transfer over WiFi fails at about 2% progress, still copying contacts and did not even get to the big files like pictures and video. None of you geniuses even thought of "copy via USB cable", that would have been easier.

Cannot find device. Doesn't matter if I use the QR code, or sign in manually. Moving from a Pixel XL to the new ROG phone. NFC Android transfer failed as well. Off to a bad start moving to ASUS branded phone. Especially with ROG label on it. EDIT in response to Asus: The Asus phone will not see any backups in Google Drive. It backs up just fine on the Pixel though.

They are lying when they say no data costs. For some inexplicable reason this app forces the new phone to be a WiFi hotspot meaning that it is forced to use data. I tried it anyway to see if it was somehow doing it without using data but I soon got a text from my provider telling me I was near my limit. I subsequently accidentally exceeded my limit and had to, so cheers Asus. Use one of the many other data transfer apps available.

It doesn't work. I got the message: "Can't turn on hotspot. Please check your network setting"
