Notal is a really beautiful Markdown editor. It handles huge files ultra fast but it lacks a **word search** option which is essential when working on large files. Bug: when opening files form a file manager the **night mode** is nullified. All **day mode** again.

If it had ability to tag notes, group or categories (and view those in a list) I would give it a 5 star.

Doesn't work as external file editor. Viewer works fine, editor crashes. Note 4 w/ 5.1.1

Great markdown editor! Other feature that I hope will be implemented is notes grouping, such as: folder or tagging support; or the ability to open *.md files stored elsewhere directly from the editor (not just as viewer) would be awesome too!

Finally, a notetaking tool that I can use for long term. Hopefully, developers will implement auto-indent whenever I enter a series of unordered list. Anyway, this tool stays in my device :-)

About this app

With Notal, you can type your notes with plain Markdown text and enjoy reading with a clean, simple style. If you aren't familiar with Markdown, we encourage you take a look at this new trend on writing and reading your notes.

Markdown is a lightweight markup language, originally created by John Gruber and Aaron Swartz allowing people "to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format, then convert it to structurally valid HTML". The language takes many cues from existing conventions for marking up plain text in email.

**Note:** The external file viewer is disabled by default. In order to open external text or markdown files you need to enable it from the Preferences screen first.

Features:
✓ Create notes using Markdown syntax
✓ Share notes
✓ Pager interface to navigate between notes
✓ Configurable text size
✓ Open external files (text files or *.md). Enable from Preferences -> External File Viewer
