Don't waste your money. First of all, it doesn't work. I followed the suggestions of other reviewers, made sure usb tethering was on, etc., and only got a split second of an image before it froze and went black. Secondly, the software accesses your files and connects your phone through the Internet to the Chinese manufacturer. Think about that.

Basic and does unfortunately continue to run in the background (with microphone access) like every other Chinese app. However, it does do the job and work very well to take pictures and videos with the accompanying endoscope hardware. Tested working on Oneplus 3T with Android Nougat 7.1.2. It stores the pictures in its own app storage rather than creating a folder on your sdcard, so a bit difficult to find the photos, but they won't appear in your gallery as you're browsing through holiday snaps.... The key thing to set it up is to go into your USB OTG or tethering settings and enable"USB Tethering" or something very similar. I seem to have to do this every time I plug it in. For me the setting is under Settings > Wireless & Networks > More >Tethering & portable hotspot. Your phone will need to support USB OTG which almost all modern Android phones do. The only problem might be Samsung, they tend to lock their devices down.

Ok I changed my review. You have to change the settings on your phones app to accept UBS tethering. Or device tethering of something like that. Once I did that the camera worked lol. On the down side this thing gets hot and the focal length is very small basically for ears and stuff and not much more

worked on Samsung S8 for almost 2 yrs. Now hangs on "device list loading" Uninstalled, rebooted phone, reinstalled app, rebooted phone, still hangs. I get a notice "system detected last exception to quit. do you want to send report?" anyone else encounter and resolve this?

Do NOT waste your money or time on this. It does not work at all and has the most sketchy instructions ever (i.e. "install our software then click 'dismiss' when warned about safety") I followed the instructions to the T and nothing. Now I'm out $50, my time and probably have a virus on my phone. I better get my money back.

Zero stars! This doesn't work on Android. Because of this, I will be sending this device back to Amazon and leaving a review there as well. It will not connect to my phone.
