Frequently Asked Question: What if I don’t want to use my phone to email patients as they will have my personal email address? There are three options for you.
1/ Add your practice email to your phone so that all emails will be automatically sent from the administrative email.
2/ Email the receptionist’s email who can then forward that email onto FDS with the request that the receptionist delete the email of the dentist.
3/ Create an email address that is not used for any other purpose. This email will send automated emails to anyone who decides to email that email, ie ‘out-of-office’ or ‘vacation’ emails. An example automated email is “This email address is not attended. Please contact [your dental surgery’s contact details] for further assistance.” This will prevent any unsolicited contact from patients outside the professional working environment.
