Excellent app. Had a little difficulty figuring out how to get it to work on my Note 9 as the provided instructions don't work (I assume Samsung has modified the stock experience). On Note 9, you need to go into the quick tile menu, then select button order, and then you'll see 3rd party options like Screen Crop which you can drag into the quick tile area. Stupid Samsung.

good concept, but did not work for me. I have a Samsung SM-T580 tablet. installed the app, set up my quick settings. but whenever i tried to screen capture a webpage on Chrome it would say to swipe to select area, and my screen would stay frozen on that til I hit home button to take browser down. never could get a screenshot. and that was just using it on a normal webpage.

Worked great until Android 10 update and now it prompts me to allow casting every single time I try to take a screenshot. Makes it just easier to go back to stock Android screenshots. I emailed developer but have not heard back yet, uninstalling.

I've hated and mostly failed doing screen captures in the past. This app filled a need and is fantastic. Well worth the very small cost!

Working? I see no icon in my quick settings. The app also screws up my quick settings menu by squishing its lines together. Something is happening to my quick settings, but seemingly not what's supposed to happen. Uninstalled.

Makes taking a screen shot so much quicker and easier with this app. Absolutely love it!

About this app

Android’s experience of sharing a snippet of your screen has never been very sophisticated. It requires taking a screenshot, cropping it using the likes of Google Photos, Markup (Android 9.0 and above) or another photo editor, and then sharing it using the gallery or the target application such as a messaging app.

However, there is a better way! Screen Crop transforms the task of taking a screenshot, cropping it and sharing it separately, into one smooth process.

Usage
After placing the quick settings tile in the tray and tapping it, swipe across the screen to select an area to be captured. If necessary, you can fine tune the selection using the four handles. You can then share it or save it using the buttons at the bottom. You can also cancel using the close button in the corner.

Note
This app works through its quick settings tile, which needs to be added manually. After installing, a Screen Crop icon will show up in your app drawer to guide through adding a settings tile. After it is set up the app drawer icon disappears automatically.

It is possible that on Xiaomi devices a full size screenshot will be taken after tapping the quick setting. It is a known issue which is currently being investigated.

Screen Crop has no ADs or in-app purchases.

Permissions
Screen Recording - required in order to capture screenshots, indicated by the temporary ‘Cast’ icon in the status bar.
Storage - required to save screenshots to device memory.

New features

Update 1.0.5 🎉

Note: We are currently investigating an issue where the tile would disappear after updating from the previous version of the app.
Simply re-adding the tile to your Quick Settings in that case will fix the issue.

- Added new images for the introduction
- Tile is now disabled on the lockscreen
