This app is everything I need. It was recommended to me by nationally known drone instructors so I thought I'd try it. I had been using another app that gave me authorizations that shouldn't have been granted. UASidekick has delivered regularly for me. It's easy to use and reliable. What really was impressive to me is that the developers have been very receptive to improvement suggestions for the app. I've made several and each one has been implemented, without very much delay either. Yes, the app is not free and that's ok for me and my business. It's accurate because it's updated regularly and the team takes pride (seems to me) that the app runs perfectly every time. I am a paid subscriber to this app and did not receive any compensation for this review. Nor was I even asked to write a review. It's a nice thing to be able to write a positive review for an app.

Tried this the first day after LAANC was available and I was authorized in 5 seconds! The whole experience was super easy and it worked even though my "registration number" was "none" because it's under 250 grams. Having said that, I hope they will come out with an option to pay by the flight for those of us who are rarely in controlled airspace.

OK but..... A subscription is required for most tools you get for free with the AirMap app. I like the look and feel of the app but it isn't as easy to use as AirMap. If it were easier to use i would probably try it again.

I've been using this app for the last eight months. Now that the FAA office is using a feature of this app for LAANC 0' areas for Class B Waiver holders, I can quickly place my flight area down and send it to my local FAA Airspace Authorization guru instead of calling the office and trying to explain my flight area. Plus the FAA guru is busy and doesn't always answer the phone. Micro weather helps to keep me within my safety sets for my flights. Filing for LAANC with this app is the easiest.

Too much nag, not enough ware. Tried to see how the laanc integration is, but can't get there without signing up for $5 a month. The interface looks good up to a point, but without satellite view or access to essential functions without my cash, it's out.

This app would be amazing if there was a trial period or version to this. I'm not quick to through money into an app thats so new. I usually want to test it out first and or compare it to other apps that have the same ability but for free like Kitty hawk.

About this app

UASidekick is a subscription based airspace awareness tool that ensures safety in the NAS for both manned and unmanned pilots alike.  The app allows remote pilots to easily file flight plans that integrate seamlessly with FAA Flight Service and the FAA LAANC system.

*Recreational (44809) LAANC Integration*
As a FAA designated UAS Service Supplier UASidekick allows the hobbyist drone pilot to submit flight plans to the FAA for immediate approval in controlled airspace at available airports.

*Commercial (Part 107) LAANC Integration*
As a FAA designated UAS Service Supplier UASidekick allows the drone pilot to submit flight plans to the FAA for immediate approval and for further coordination in controlled airspace at available airports.

*NOTAM UOA Request*
UASidekick was developed to facilitate FAA reporting compliance for those required to submit a NOTAM to fly. UASidekick works with Flight Services to provide a streamline process which allows waiver holders and COA operators, who are required to submit NOTAMs, to submit NOTAM UOAs through the UASidekick app. The app also provides email confirmation of the operation submission for record retention.

*Community Search & Rescue (SAR)*
These request are internal request that allow only UASidekick users to submit and see other users request for SAR. These request do not replace the need to call 911 or your emergency service provider but will allow the community of UASidekick users to see a need and offer assistance.

*Privacy Request (PR)*
The Privacy Request was developed by UASidekick with the general public in mind as a way to communicate, to other UASidekick users, their desire for additional privacy. These PR request are internal and unique to UASidekick which allow the RPIC to recognize locations that individuals (Pilots and General Public) have requested more sensitivity when flying over and around. (Privacy Request are voluntary compliance request internal to UASidekick only and may not be enforced by any regulatory agency or law enforcement entity.)

• UASidekick offers an in-app subscription for $4.99 + tax per month
• Payment will be charged to your Account at confirmation of purchase
• This subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off before the end of the current period through the Google Play App.

•The monthly subscription will allow access to the user profile and allow the user to log flights, submit reports and allow the user to submit requests for LAANC, NOTAM UOA's, SAR's and PR's

(A free Flight Service Account is required for the NOTAM UOA submittal. See https://www.1800wxbrief.com for details on creating an account. We also provide an instructional video on linking the Flight Service web to your app on our website at www.UASidekick.com/#videos)

We are working with Flight Services to streamline this process if your number is not in their system.)
