Nice app. With one-touch to enable/disable, it's much more convenient than gray-switch. It probably should mention in the help text that it's a shortcut to the service in the Developer Options.

Works perfectly! it would be nice to update the description with a guide on how to do this for other people: Install adb tools, enable usb debugging for your device, connect your device to your pc and make sure it is connected, then finally run that adb shell command in a terminal or command prompt window and then it should work.

This is incredible..This helps a lot in reading purposes. For people who are confused with root permissions, you don't really need to root your phone but instead plug the mobile with developer options on and grant permission as given in the script in the app.You need to install adb interface to pc first.

This is the only app I have found that does what I want. Can turn it on or off just by clicking the icon. only downside is that you need to install adb on your computer to grant permissions. I'd recommend the lifehacker 'easiest way' article rather than getting sdk, wayyyy simpler.

Android 5.0 Lollipop provides this feature by default: Enable Developer mode (by tapping build number within Settings > About phone multiple times) Go to Developer Options and turn it on. Under Hardware accelerated rendering you will see option called Simulate color space, click it and set it to Monochromacy
