I downloaded this app for the flashlight. The compass that shows latitude and longitude is a bonus. I was able to show someone who doesn't know how to use a compass how it works. I also received a call while I was showing this and it didn't close the app. I was excited about that. I would definitely recommend downloading this app, you can't beat it being free.

About this app

I designed this app just for practice in coding. This flashlight is very basic and easy to use. Built with you in mind and what I mean is, this app is barely 15MB in size. So, if you are running with limited space on your phone, this app shouldn't be an issue especially if you want a stylish looking flashlight.

Permissions Explanation

Keeping transparency at the top of the list of things to communicate first, along with these new updates/features. There is some security risk, because of the components used to program these types of apps.

The warnings you will get:

1. Take pictures and videos. This application utilizes the flash from your onboard camera only. Nothing more.

2. Modify or delete the contents of your SD card & Read the contents of your SD card. The long answer to the "WHY" question is this. Your phone is a mini PC right? Think in terms of RAM and ROM. RAM is a type of volatile memory. Data in RAM is not permanently written. When you power off your computer the data stored in RAM is deleted. ROM is a type of non- volatile memory. Data in ROM is permanently written and is not erased when you power off your computer. This app uses the RAM method meaning, it writes the location to memory for a short period until the app is exited. Then it is deleted from memory automatically.

3. Approximate Location (Network-Based)
4. Precise Location (GPS and Network-Based)
