I used this widget on my first android phone and it worked like a charm. The reason for my comment is to try to offset some of the average score reduction brought about by Darren Decoff's unjustified one star rating. Sir, you said yourself that the Note 5 does not allow 3rd party apps to control data. You then go on to ask the developer to update the app and you give a one star review. The widget's score should not suffer simply because your phone won't allow it to function. In other words, you are blaming the wrong entity and your score is not representative of the app's quality and functionality. It suggests a profound ignorance at best, or misplaced malevolence at worst.

Ap alerts that android does not allow it to turn data on and off. Soooo. . .what is the diff between an ap with ads that take you to the settings screen, and simply clicking on the settings screen without the widget?

Just a shortcut to phone settings. You should list which android versions it doesn't work with.
