I've only been using this for 2 days and I'm already typing around 18 wpm which is close to my speed on Swiftkey (22 wpm). The learning curve is steep, which is the case when learning to type for the first time in any case. Messagease looks promising and I'm continuing with it. I'll update this comment in due time. Update 1: Nearly a month of casual usage and I'm already typing at 32 wpm which, after a lifetime of QWERTY usage, is gobsmacking. Turning the keyboard to blank after a while helps.

An amazing keyboard app...been using it from years now but I've recently found bugs when typing in search bars...Dear Develops, Please fix this and give us updates because its been almost 2yrs since the app has been updated...

love this keyboard. I've been using it for years. highly recommend taking the small amount of time it takes to learn to use it. Edit: I was going to say that it doesn't have spell check but that isn't true. All I had to do was download the word list for they keyboard language I was using, which was really easy to do in the app.

it's a really good feature packed keyboard, by far THE BEST WAY TO TYPE ON MOBILE. but my main gripe about it is the outdated app ui and THE EMOJI MENU. SO MANY EMOJIS MISSING AND ITS JUST CLUTTERED IN GENERAL.

I love that fewer "keys" in MessageEase means my fat fingers can hit the key I want. And I ~really~ love that I can get to odd characters (ñ, ï, ÷, — etc) without switching keyboards; they're all available in one place. And I like the extensive configurability; I can turn off the stupid spell-check, make the board bigger, change the stroke length and much more. I haven't had the bugs I see reported in the other reviews. My only complaint is that the voice recording refuses to work. Still hoping for that to be fixed eventually.

Really useful keyboard. It makes typing with one hand a bliss, and the bigger keys make typing easier for those who are clumsy, have poor vision or big fingers. Besides, it has a ton of useful features, just to name a few: macros, zoom mode, letter combination (to get extra letters, including those for scientific purpose ƒ(ω) = Δπ ...). That said, it takes time to get used to it, more so as most people are helplessly used to qwerty. The only bad thing is that their tutorial game lags.

MessagEase is based on many years of scientific research; it uses letter frequency and di-gram data to optimize the position of letters and characters on a novel keyboard with fewer, larger buttons. (That’s why the letter positions are NON-QWERTY!)

This novel letter position is often very shocking--even intimidating--at first. But persevere and soon you'll find it intuitive and very practical.

MessagEase keyboard also includes word prediction. To keep the package light, the word lists required for word prediction is provided in separate modules that you download optionally. Please long press on Hand and then go to Settings > Languages & Keyboards > Word Prediction for how to set it up.

Please also note that you can change the keyboard size by dragging up/down on the Hand button. You can also reshape and recolor the keyboard in various ways. See Settings for details. You can also change the font used for the keyboard; you can even re-assign new characters or hide and remove some of the characters: yes, it is customizable like no other keyboard you've ever seen.
