Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ER Assist on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

FEMA's new (April 2016) Damage Assessment Guidance encourages Communities and States to use a damage assessment system--this tool makes the damage assessment portion of our consulting process super easy--especially since it creates the damaged areas as sites, to which we can track our time all in the same app (including preventing overlapping time entries, selecting various overtime policies, and the options for billable/nonbillable work), which makes my job approving payroll and creating invoicing for clients a snap. Looking forward to see what the developers add next!

Damage Reports - Creating & Viewing Damage Reports, or Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) while in the field has never been easier. Easily and quickly capture accurate location info, full resolution images, damage descriptions, structure information, cost estimates and more, even when there is no signal. All reports automatically sync with the ER Assist Data Portal when you have signal, and images can be synced immediately, or you can wait until you have Wi-Fi. The Data Portal provides an extensive interface for visualizing, browsing, filtering, reporting, and working with your data. Heat Maps, Site Maps, Structure & Category breakdown, Site reports w/images, Location Verification, Review & Finalization of reports, GIS integration, structure & road damage tracking across multiple events (for hazard mitigation, etc) and much, much more is available via the ER Assist Data Portal.
