This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Smart Building on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

Smart Building is an application developed under the activity of the Optimal Management of Networks of Buildings Activity in the framework of the Research on Electrical System. In the Optimal Management of Networks of Buildings one of the key concept is the "Energy on Demand", that is the adaptive control on the instantaneous and local needs of power in order to achieve high energy saving. The choices currently used (presence sensors + remote transmission data) have the defect of a profound impact on the cost of purchase and installation. A promising alternative is to use the smartphone of the employee to monitor his presence in the building and / or in the office making use of beacon technology. A beacon is a small device that emits a bluetooth low energy signal that can be intercepted by a smartphone with an opportune application. Smart Building is able to intercept a beacon installed in a room and communicate data with a server. The building administrator is able in any moment to know if a room is occupied or not.
The application has been developed under the Research on Electrical System Program, PAR 2014, Objective B.3 (The local technologies integrated to enable "Smart Building network".
