USB Relays connect directly to your phone or tablet's USB, Micro USB or type C port (most phones will require OTG cable connected to charging port).

The AR-2 Relay Controller App is the ideal solution for hundreds of applications where control of external devices is needed. Connect the AR-2, AR-2MF or AR-2S Relay Interface to your Tablet or Phone's USB port and you have instant control of any electrical device that can be connected to a relay. Control lighting, motors, appliances, HVAC equipment, lock or gate solenoids, indicator panels, heaters, camera tilt and pan, robotics and thousands of other electrical devices. Great for field testing prototype products or testing equipment for reliability. The AR-2S Relay Interface also provides two Inputs that will permit you to monitor contact closures or the on/off state of devices or equipment.

This App allows you to instantly energize or de-energize a relay from your tablet or phone's touch screen. The app's start-up screen allows you to control the two AR-2 relays. Touch the relay button for the desired relay and the relay will energize (button will turn red). Touch the button again and the relay will de-energize (button will turn green). Label the relay buttons and input boxes as needed from within the App or just create a text file using Notepad on your desktop PC and then copy to the EECI folder on your tablet or phone. App storage is turned off by default but may be turned on under App Permissions. Storage may be left off and is only needed to save the app settings.

The AR-2S (or AR-2MF with EX-8M) Inputs are automatically refreshed every second and may be labeled with a different message for each on and off state. The input boxes will also show a red indication when the input is on and a green indication when the input is off.

Use EECI's CO-USB cable (available with Standard USB or Micro USB connector) for connecting the AR-2 or AR-2S to your tablet (or phone's OTG cable). The AR-2MF connects direct using a standard USB type A to USB type B for connection to most tablets (or use a Micro USB or type C OTG cable for most phones).

The AR-2 Relay Controller App has been developed to run on Android operating systems Android 3.2 up to 11 which includes Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, Pie, Q and Red Velvet Cake. Root permission or special driver not needed for most Android phones and tablets that use the Android operating system 3.2 or higher (Honeycomb and up), just enable USB Host Mode*.
