This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing EdiView II on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. The camera is excellent value for money however I don't use it with this app. I rate the app 1/5, it's a complete disaster. If you guys are after an app that does what it says it will do, look at IP Cam Viewer.

Ediview webcams are junk. I have two cameras. On the app, these cameras are listed hundreds of times in my camera list. Which do I choose? After spending countless hours watching that stupid spinning icon waiting for the cameras to connect to my app, I just concluded I wasted my money. Some days, the app works. Most days, it does not work. I tried a new surveillance system called Zosi which I purchased on Amazon for cheap. It connects immediately 99 percent of the time.

Device Requirements:
The EdiView II app requires a device running Android OS 4.X or above.
For better performance, please use a device with Quad core processor or newer models.

For security reason, the Edimax IP Camera provides more security with firmware v3.x or later version. The EdiView II can’t support this function, due to its architecture, and only firmware version v3.x or later version for Edimax IP Camera will support this function. Please download Edimax EdiLife APP. The EdiView II will not allow user upgrade firmware to v3.x or later version.
