First time leaving reviews for any app. This one is horrendous. It couldn't discover any of the 2.4G network SSIDs during the initial setup (always came up with an empty list while my phone saw plenty, including a few of my neighbors'). I thought fine, I'll contact the customer service. Then I tried to use the feedback function in the app. That's when I found a picture is required for a feedback (that's an odd requirement but fine I'll take a snapshot). Then it failed to send the feedback with some unknown error. That's when I completely lost it. Edit: it seems to be phone dependent. It won't work with my Pixel 2XL (that WiFi list will come up empty so you won't be able to move forward, maybe some incompatible component the program is trying to call). I dug out my old phone, a Huawei, and went through with the setup with no problem. Now that the setup is complete on another phone, the device showed up on my Pixel phone as well. Modified to 3 stars. App wasn't tested on some andriod variants (we're talking about Pixel here, the original Android system), that much seems to be true.

Garbage app that won't finish setting up. It says move device closer to router...it's f'n 1" away and always fails at connecting to server. Yes I'm connected to the 2.4 GHz when I start the app, yes I'm connecting the battery pack to the 2.4 GHz network. Yes I'm entering the correct password...but NO it won't finish setup. Just skip the app and look at the screen on the unit

Update: Got the extra battery, now app won't update to show 'Module Settings' to control the obnoxious light strip.... Wifi setup took multiple attempts and dropped saved network after power off and back on, but finally up and seems to be working good.

Module settings option is in not in app as described in user guide. Cannot turn off ambient light, which is obnoxious. Difficult to connect off grid. Why not Bluetooth? Seems that would make more sense.

Why I need to login in to the app and internet, if it's for off grid. Stupid stupid Stupid. Sound to me like just data collection purposes to China (yes its a chinese company, data goes to china). Why not make it without internet or special permissions, just use bluetooth or NFC for getting an update to the phone. I was going to buy the battery bank but after this I'm not.

So far I've been enjoying the functionality of the app. For example, I can monitor the charge status when connected to solar panels without having to leave the comfort of my couch.
