Eblockwatch “Snakes & Ladders” App is used as a tool for teaching the effects of good deeds versus bad.

All games have morals; and the game of Snakes and Ladders captures, as no other activity can hope to do, the eternal truth that for every ladder you hope to climb, a snake is waiting just around the corner, and for every snake, a ladder will compensate.

Drivers behaviour mirrors the contempt that we as South Africans generally have for each other. Eblockwatch believes that our project will at first be a tool for drivers to release their frustration in an acceptable way and at the same time assist the authorities create strategies on where drivers drive dangerously and who the serial offenders are.

How does Eblockwatch ‘Snakes & Ladders” work?

1. Download the Eblockwatch Snakes & Ladders App from your App store.
2. Register using the App.
3. Every person who registers will automatically become a member of www.eblockwatch.co.za
4. When you witness a driver behaving dangerously click the Snake icon and follow the simple process.
5. What happens once you submit the “Snake” incident; the details supplied by you will be downloaded to our server and a pin will drop at the position which will create a heat map for the traffic authorities to create a strategy on where most incidents occur and who the repeat offenders are. They will then dispatch their officers to that position and possibly catch the repeat offender offending. Your information will assist the officers to build a case against the offending driver.
6. What happens once you submit a “Ladder” incident; the details supplied by you will be downloaded to our server and a pin will drop at the position which will create a heat map.

Eblockwatch will reward the drivers by creating a social media campaign with innovative feel good “social rewards” for these drivers.

The aim of our project is not to be punitive but to rather reward and encourage good behaviour. It is not a tool to be used aggressively but to rather be used discreetly by ordinary peace-loving South Africans.
