This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CountPipes on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. It does not count more than 10 counts

So, I needed to count the number of items (about 250, think people in a crowd or cell colonies in a petri plate) in a single photo on my mobile phone. This is the only android counting app that can handle hi-res images, but to count 300 items in an image I need to buy a very expensive plan. I'd be happy to pay a buck per image, but not for an extremely expensive plan for one picture. I just printed the picture out and numbered it.
