This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing e-passport Scanner on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

e-passport Scanner have two features to read the passport details:

1. MRZ Scanner:
This application reads the MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) from the passport, and displays passport holder's name, date of birth, nationality, document number and expiry date. We shall able to share the scanned passport-data with user's preferred option.

Usage:

Open the app and scan the passport's MRZ code.

2. NFC Scanner:

This application also reads the NFC (Near Field Communication) electronic passport, and displays passport holder's name, date of birth, nationality, document number and expiry date. We shall able to share the scanned passport data with user's preferred option. To make use of this feature, your mobile should have NFC support.

Usage:

Open the app and scan the passport's MRZ code and tap the electronic passport with your NFC Mobile.
