Eid al Adha 2019 or Qurbani 2019 will be celebrated on Monday, 12th of August 2019.
As soon as the Eid Al Adha draws near, people rush to the market and buy good animals on satisfactory prices to fulfill the Sunnah of the Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) on the Eid Day.
Dhabihah which is to properly slaughter animal in the prescribed method by loudly announcing “in the name of Allah” (Bismillah) and Allah is great “Allah o Akbar” is performed on the Eid Days (1st to 3rd Day).
In Quran verse 5:3 " Forbidden for you are carrion, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that which has been slaughtered while proclaiming the name of any other than God, and one killed by strangling, and one killed with blunt weapons, and one which died by falling, and that which was gored by the horns of some animal, and one eaten by a wild beast, except those whom you slaughter; and that which is slaughtered at the altar and that which is distributed by the throwing of arrows [for an omen]; this is an act of sin." —– al-Maʼidah 5:3
The above verse authenticates the legal status of Dhabihah on conditions which needs to be fulfilled.
As the Eid al Adha approaches, peoples find it hard to find the trained butchers to fulfill this obligation of Dhabiahah as per Shariah rules. Since it is a profiteering business on Eid Days as butchers charge 4500 to 5000 (for small animals) and 10000 to 15000 (for large animals), many untrained and common labors or villagers enter into this business. They sometimes charge less money to catch customers. Since they are not professional butchers, they do not slaughter the animals properly, damage the skin, hide the meat and most of the times ends up in a mess.
It is imperative to hire the services of trained butchers to sacrifice the animals properly as per sharia law and avoid loss of the dhabihah and money.
Likewise, it is also hard to get hold of the trained butchers on Eid Days due to non-availability of the butchers, less butchers in the localities and high rates of few butchers,
Keeping in view, the need for trained butchers and timely availability on the Eid Days, The Qasai App will overcome these communication gaps between customers and trained butchers, allowing them to perform the sacred activity of Dabhihah.
The process is so simple that:
The trained butchers will offer their services by registering themselves on the App. This include butchers name, certificate of shop, location/address, contact number and rates for slaughtering of different animals, date of availability and picture (optional).
The list of butchers will then be appeared to the potential customers.
Likewise, the customers can do advance booking by giving details such as customer name, location, contact number, animal/s to be slaughtered and date of animal slaughtering. He will get a list of butchers available in his area or near to his location.
The booking can be done directly through phone or what’s app call. We will add more features soon, such as booking within app through notifications.
