Hi, I've been using this app for more than a year, and it worked perfectly until the middle of this year, i.e. as soon as I plug in my phone, the app used to start and would alert me at the set percentage. A few months ago, it stopped working like that. I had to go into the app and then plug in my phone. Then only it would work. I've even reinstalled the app and it's not working like it used to. My phone is a Samsung A50. Hope the developers would resolve this issue.

It works (both Lite and Pro versions). Helpful app to get notification when battery is nearly full when charging, and an early notification when charging is needed. Minor bug where "unplug charger" is announced when not charging and the battery is still at 100%. I'll send a note to the developer to try to get this resolved in a future update. The temperature alert works fine for me (others complain); it's getting the data from the phone's sensor, so inaccuracy isn't the fault of an app developer. I get alerts when the phone is hot (direct sunlight for a long time, or accidentally covered up with blanket), so it's a helpful alert.

Pixel 3a XL. Phone in airplane mode with WiFi enabled. Ambient room temp is 79°F. Phone sitting on the table doing nothing. Battery Alert app says my battery temp is 91°F and sounds the alert every few minutes. The phone doesn't feel warm and it's not running any apps actively. I think the app is not giving an accurate battery temp reading. Update: I don't use any social media apps. BA and Republic Wireless (VoIP) are the only icons in notification area other than Android stuff.

My Galaxy A5 battery was getting weaker so I disabled fast charging and downloaded this app. It has helped my battery longevity. I think every phone should charge like this. Ignore the manufacturer's instructions.

Does a nice job and would give 5 stars, but wish it could offer an option to produce an extra notification beyond the verbal instruction to remove from the charger (which I think is nice and I hope that verbal notification stays) - but something louder or visual if a person doesn't hear the first notification would be a great added touch. Overall, thank you to the developer..

Other battery alerts tend to only let you know at 100 percent charge, too late, this one has variable perimeters: 100 percent better!!

About this app

Does your device threaten you with shutdown often because you forgot to charge it before leaving the house? Do you leave your device plugged in to charge way beyond 100% because you just don't know when it's charged full? Did you know these types of charging habits can wreak havoc on your device's battery health over time? Do you need an app that can automatically monitor your battery and notify you at custom percent levels?

Battery Alert 40 - 80 is a simple, no frills, easy-to-use app that can monitor your battery level and notify you to charge or unplug from your charger based on your customized battery percentage settings. A typical stock battery monitor on mobile devices only notify you when your battery level is critically low (10 - 20%), and some devices may notify you if your battery is 100% charged full, if at all. Battery Alert 40 - 80 overcomes this shortcoming by providing the capability to notify at customized battery percentage levels, even when the app is not running. Lithium ion total overall battery life (not per charge battery life, which may vary) can be improved significantly when consistently kept charged at optimal levels, preferably between 40% and 80%. In contrast, frequent low discharging to full charging past 100% can put unnecessary strain on your device's battery and shorten its overall life. The default charge alert and unplug alert percent is set at 40% and 80% respectively. Nonetheless, these percentage settings are customizable to the user's preferences, along with other settings. When the battery level falls below the specified charge alert, a battery alarm will sound in repeat intervals notifying the user that the battery is low. Similarly when the battery level rises above the specified unplug alert, a battery alarm will sound in repeat intervals notifying the user to unplug the charger. It can also be used for battery full charge repeating alarm by setting unplug alert to 100%. The app also has the capability to provide battery temperature alerts. Keeping the battery at a stable temperature is an important measure in maintaining the overall health of your battery.

Battery Alert 40 - 80 Lite Features:
• Helps prevent over and under charging with custom percent level for charge battery notification and custom percent level for unplug charger notification
• Use for repeating battery full charge alarm by setting unplug alert to 100%
• Separate settings for charge monitor notification and for unplug monitor notification
• Do Not Disturb Time when battery notification is automatically turned off
• Launch on Charger (Un)plugged
• Battery Temperature Alerts
• Voice alarm sound for notification

New features

- Removed launch on charger (un)plugged option as new Android OS does not support launching app through intent receivers.
- Alert by app replaced by toast for same reason as above.
