Excellent! No ads, no permissions! Works flawlessly! I have a movie app that always wants to play the movie in a way that places the charging cord facing down, not allowing me to use my preferred phone stand. This app completely solved the problem! Now I can orient the phone any way that I desire, even portrait, which the movie app doesn't support at all. Thank you to the devs for this one, it is truely what an app should be. ***EDIT*** WOW! I forgot that it was on and loaded up a game. This app works on all of my apps! It makes the cars larger on one of my racing games, making it even more fun to play. And now I can play AstroNest in the vertical position when I want. This is a great add-on to any device.

The persistent auto orientation is extremely useful. I use my phone with a kickstand and bluetooth keyboard to respond to email. It's a huge pain that the home screen doesn't orient itself in landscape when the phone is turned (especially considering it does this with tablets). Your awesome, light, free app has made my phone infinitely more usable in this scenario. I would pay for this app.

Works exactly as advertised, takes next to no space, doesn't run anything futile in the background. Even works on apps that do not natively support the chosen orientation (my main reason for downloading the app). Also works fantastic for automatic rotation control for in-car use in combination with e.g. Tasker.

Works well for what it does: you run the app and chose a mode to override your device's built-in screen orientation/rotation setting to switch among Auto-Rotate, Forced-Portrait, and Forced-Landscape. I say "forced" because it forces apps to landscape or portrait even if they wouldn't normally (regardless of native setting) rotate to that orientation. Setting this to Auto-Rotate changes the appearance of the native setting to show Auto-Rotate, and setting it to either of the other modes changes the native setting to show Portrait (even if it's really landscape). While this app is in (forced)-portrait or (forced-)landscape, changing the native setting itself directly has no effect unfortunately. Lacks a Forced-Auto-Rotate mode which would force all (or some) apps to auto-rotate even if they won't normally do that. It would be nice if there were a notification to show that this app is forcing a particular mode, and it would be nice if the the mode could be changed via this persistent notification. Also lacks any per-app setting capabilities. Has a simple Tasker plugin for automation of its 3 basic modes.

great little app to force other apps to open up in a specific view! after moving to a device running Nougat, Xposed was no longer an option to force an app that always opened up in landscape to open up in portrait and I thought I was screwed having to use this app in this awkward landscape view until I came upon Rotation Locker! with Tasker integration I can force the display to stay in portrait or landscape mode depending on what app has the awkward view.

This fixes the home screen on my Nexus 4 which, in native form, stay in portrait mode no matter what I want to do. Frustrating, because my Samsung Galaxy S# auto-rotates and it is not even native Android. I installed this, opened it, and long-selected Auto mode (select and hold to persist). Presto! All problems solved. Thank you, developer! Exactly what I needed.
