Genius! Who thought about using an existing phone as speed sensor? Just the concept is better than cheaply manufactured sensors.

What Android apps have been tested with this App ? I cannot change the value. I can Input the whole numbers but not the fraction. I cannot get proximity to work. It's zero or the app crashes when I touch the phone .What do you use to mask the tyre with to make it work? Samsung J2 Core. Android 8.1.0

Install app on a spare device and use your android phone as a sensor !

- Using Android accelerometer sensor : place it horizontally just on your thigh or vertically in your socket or tight it to the lower part of your leg. The app detects the orientation automatically. And adjust the distance you travel when doing one round of crank (default set to race bike, 700x25x tire 50x17 bracket

OR

- Using Android proximity sensor : place it in front of your (raised) back wheel, mask part of the wheel and there you go.



On your main phone/tablet install your favorite virtual cycling app, spawn device detection for speed sensor.


Warning :
- Bluetooth Cycling Speed Sensor uses proximity or accelerometer sensors do detect spinning wheel. Some device might have issues with it. So it comes with no warranty at all.
- Warning; the measuring device must be placed in front of bike wheel in proximity mode
- Warning : Displayed speed is indicative and based on 720x25c tire size
- This app is a "sensor" app e.g. it is meant to be used with a client app (online virtual cycling app, or bluetooth speedometer).
