About this app

The Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) Act will be implemented in phases, with the 1st Phase of the rollout running from 01 July 2021 to 30 September 2021.

There are currently 2,659 traffic violations or offences listed.

The SA Traffic Violations App enables users to:

• search traffic offences
• view more details regarding a specific offence
• see if an offence is an infringement or a criminal offence
• see how much demerit points you will be penalized with
• see how much you'll be fined

The App's Main Menu makes navigating through the SA Traffic Violations app easy, fast and effortless to all users.

The threshold level of demerit points is 15 points.

Upon exceeding the threshold mark, one’s driving license gets suspended for a period of 3 months for every point that the threshold has been exceeded.

The reduction is one point for every three months that a motorist remains violation-free.

New features

Temporarily removed the location feature. It will be added in the next upgrade along with some useful features.
