tellyBuddy is an application which gives real-time SMS Alerts (Text Messages) of certain events happening on the mobile phone where this application is installed to another mobile phone termed as Buddy or Linked Mobile Number.
Linked Mobile Number: This is the mobile number where we want real time SMS alerts to be sent. Ideally this will not be of the mobile handset where the application tellyBuddy is installed.
Following are the distinct features of the application – tellyBuddy, which can be configured to one’s needs as required. I am sure there can be various constructive uses of the application.
• Sends real-time SMS alerts when Phone is Shutdown/Restarted along with location#
• Sends real-time SMS alerts when Phone SIM or Device ID (IMEI etc) is changed along with location#
• Forwards Incoming SMS real-time to linked mobile number.
• Sends real-time SMS alerts with full details when an Incoming Call is received.
• Sends real-time SMS alerts with full details when an Outgoing Call is made.
• Read aloud Incoming SMS.
• Routes all Outgoing calls to linked mobile number.
# Limitations:
• No specific limitation has been built in the features provided as part of the application but there is heavy dependency on mobile service provider network, its availability, your mobile handset type (GSM, CDMA etc) and location services for sending real-time SMS alerts and exact location. It is possible that sometimes you may not receive real-time alerts or exact location. It is recommended that location services are always set to ON and you have either GPS set to ON or Data Plan.
• There may be charges your service provider may bill you for the real-time SMS alerts.

Accepts remote instructions via SMS from linked mobile number to perform following additional functions.
1. Above features can be set to On / Off at will, anytime remotely.
2. Current location# can be known anytime remotely.
3. All Incoming Calls can be auto forwarded to linked number anytime remotely.
4. Automatically get a call back from the mobile where the application is installed anytime remotely.
5. Application can be made to open Android Photo Gallery instead of its usual UI anytime remotely to deceive usage of application.

Allows an application to receive SMS messages.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an application to see the number being dialed during an outgoing call with the option to redirect the call to a different number or abort the call altogether.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
